BEGUSARAI THE INDUSTRIAL HUB OF BIHAR GOT THE LARGEST BOTTLING PLANT OF EAST INDIA

Varun beverages limited, one of the most valuable franchisees of multinational brand PepsiCo, has established a bottling unit in Begusarai which is the largest plant of East INDIA, the plant is spread over an area of 55 acres.

The plant will provide a boost to economic activities to surrounding areas and provide jobs to hundreds of people, Varun beverages Limited has invested around 340 crores in establishment of plant and is also planning to increase its productivity by 2024-2025.

The bottling plant will produce carbonated water, Drinking Water and various soft drinks. Bihar cm Nitish Kumar and Industry Minister Mr. Sahnawaz Hussain on 16 April 2022 inaugurated the plant.

Begusarai is industrial hub of Bihar, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (refinery), Fertilizer and thermal plant are the major public units installed over here, But Varun Beverages Limited is the first and big player entering by private side, this will also open doors for other industries to establish their manufacturing unit in Bihar.

Further, this plant will also boost the employment for the surrounding areas. Ultimately generating vacancies for youth in these areas. Bihar is facing a stiff challenge of labor mobilization to other states for employment and livelihood. This issue can only be addressed by investment coming from private or public sector firms.
