Dhanterass :{November 2}
This year, Dhanterass is celebrated on November 2 (Tuesday). This day
is the considered as most auspicious for shopping of gold and utensils for
kitchen.
Chotti Diwali {November 3}
Peoples usually start decorating their homes with string of lights
and Rangoli to celebrate Diwali.
Lakshmi puja {November 4} DIWALI
Lakshmi Puja or Diwali is the most important day for this five days
festival.
Goddess Lakshmi is the god of wealth and prosperity, hence each and
every people worship goddess Lakshmi on this day. People used to get together
and exchange gifts and sweets. Buildings and houses are decorated with sting of
light and oil lamps or “Diyas”. This year, the most auspicious time to worship goddess
Lakshmi is between 6:02 Pm to 8:04 Pm on the eve of November 4.
Gowardhan Puja or Padwa{November 5}
Gowardhan Puja is marked as the most important day those who rear
cows and mark this day to offer prayer to cows, as in India cow is considered
as the most holy animal.
In some parts it is also known as padwa a day to celebrate bond between Husband and wife.
Bhai Duj {November 6}
The bond between brother and sister is celebrated on this special day.
